Origin of KV: Kendriya Vidyalaya No.3 was opened in the year 1986.IMPORTANT MILESTONES OF GROWTH: The school has grown from single section to now a 3 section school over the years and has a strength of 1702 students. The school is one of the largest school in Ahmedabad region. The school is growing leaps and bounds under the dynamic leadership.Facilities Available: The vidyalaya boasts of having one of the best facilities in the region. The library in the school is one of the best libraries in the region with more than 15,575 books and internet facility. The Vidyalaya have 3 well equipped science laboratories . Biology, Chemistry and Physics laboratories have also been provided with computers.
The Vidyalaya also has a Junior Science Lab. In keeping with the fast developing ICT areas the Vidyalaya have two computer labs with 80 computers. Computers have been provided two all important places like staff room, primary activity room, office, examination department and laboratories.

The Vidyalaya has a well equipped air conditioned conference room with internet, projector and Interactive board.
